Celebrating a decade of heart care

2nd November 2002, a dream comes to life. A dream to operate a world-class hospital and provide world-class cardiac care in India. And 2nd November 2012 marks the day when this dream, today known as Asian Heart Institute has successfully completed ten years. And as we celebrate our tenth anniversary we take this opportunity to thank all our well wishers who have been our biggest strength in our journey.

From being a young cardiac hospital in 2002, AHI has in the last ten years grown to become one of the best cardiac care institutes in not only India but the world, incorporating the latest technological advances like the Cathlab, and the a world-class team of experts to get there. So it’s no surprise that AHI has been accredited by ISO, JCI and NIAHO making it India’s highest accredited hospital.

AHI has treated more than 150,000 patients including more than 16,000 surgeries performed with one of the highest success rates worldwide of 99.2%. A special feat, especially considering that most cases that have been treated at AHI are first-of-its-kind cases in India and even the world.

The Preventive Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation department at AHI, one of the best in the country ensures complete recovery of patients who have undergone a cardiac treatment, so much so that every year 75 of our patients run the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon.

No wonder AHI is today the preferred centre for high risk cases and the reason why the team at AHI specially chosen for the redo bypass on the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh and the surgery for the Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Tarun Gogoi.

Some of the more unique services that AHI has succeeded in providing include the 24×7 Heart helpline services which gives patients an option to get themselves admitted in case of any sort of chest pain.

Today, as AHI completes ten years of providing cardiac care of the highest quality to the public, we would like to thank you once again and assure you that AHI will not stop its quest for better treatment modes for its patients. After all, Every heart deserves the best.
